In the beginning when Donald Watson together with Elsie Shringley used the word Vegan for strict vegetarians, the vegan life style was quite unpopular. Some of the vegetarians even refused straightway to link themselves with this radical cause. Veganism began with a health crazed fame. The vegan diet then in the end became famous and maintained its uniqueness.
